Dr. Meng received one PhD degree in Mechanical & Materials Engineering (2011) with Prof. Andy Sun and another in Chemical & Biochemical Engineering (2009) with Prof. Jesse Zhu at University of Western Ontario (ON, Canada). Prior to joining University of Arkansas (Fayetteville, AR) in 2016, Dr. Meng was a research fellow (2012-2016) in Energy Systems Division at Argonne National Laboratory (Lemont, IL) with Dr. Jeffrey W. Elam and a research associate (2011-2012) in Chemistry Department at Brookhaven National Laboratory (Upton, NY) with Dr. Xiao-Qing Yang.
Dr. Meng is the recipient of the Outstanding Researcher of Department of Mechanical Engineering (2022-2023), a Canada NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship (2011-2013), the AVS Student Award in ALD (2011), the 2nd Prize of OCE Competition (2008), Western Engineering Scholarship (2005 – 2008), ECS Travel Grant (2016), and the nominee of Canada CGS/UMI Distinguished Dissertation Award (2009).
